I can hardly wait for February the 7th to get here! My husband and I will be off on a tropical vacation to Bayahibe, Dominican Republic. We usually stay in Bavaro but we wanted to switch things up this time. Last year, we rented a car and drove down to the south coast where Bayahibe is located and found this place so charming. It’s not really a tourist town. It’s a town supported mostly by working fishermen. There are a few nice hotels but don’t think of the resorts you find in places like Bavaro and Punta Cana. We plan to take several excursions down into the park which is really close.
